Ways to Be a Successful Leader

There has been a constant debate on whether or not Twitter or Facebook is better for generating leads for your business. Facebook is number 2 for the most popular site and Twitter is ranked in the 11th spot. It really depends on your business and your target market to determine the winner of the Facebook Vs. Twitter debate. Here are some benefits of both social networking sites.

Facebook allows ease of communication through private messaging, wall posts and chat. It enables you to really grasp someone's background and personality. This is great if you are trying to qualify prospects for your business. It also allows you to create your own business page and has an option for advertising.

The notes section and profile box are a great way to share your information to the world and show that you are an honest and trusting leader. You can put your website directly on your profile and information tabs, this 

is great for getting your friends to go directly to your website without searching through your information. 

Keeping your updates and wall posts engaging will help you keep your friends happy and make them curious about your business. You need to get a good idea of who a person is before you give someone your link or they might think you are being spammy and they have an option or reporting you.

Twitter is a very quick way of getting traffic to your pages. The traffic to lead conversion rates however will be super low. People are on Twitter to cure boredom, or to generate business. Be careful to only post 25% of your content as business content and the other 75% of content as engaging posts. You will be followed and unfollowed by hundreds of people daily so it is important to keep your posts engaging enough to gain followers and keep them on your account. Once you reach a certain amount of friends to follower ratio, 

Twitter will not let you follow anybody else. This is when you know you need more content in your Tweets.

The direct message option does allow you to converse with others, although a lot of the messages are automated and people are not trying to engage conversation, but promote their sites. It can be time consuming to read and delete direct messages every day.

Although you have the option for creating your own background image or design, it would be helpful to be allowed to have 2-5 pictures on your profile for others to see another side of your personality.

So overall, in the Twitter Vs. Facebook debate with regards to promoting your business, Facebook is the clear winner. The ability to engage someone in a conversation is easier and the traffic to lead conversion is much higher. Twitter is great for getting people to check out your new blog posts, or a new website but unless you have over 20,000 followers, you will need to work really hard to generate one lead from Twitter.

They are both easy to love for different reasons. It's up to you and your business which one will work better for you!

How to Add an Opt In Box to Your Facebook Profile

-->    1)      Go to your facebook profile
   2)      Search in the top toolbar for “My Info” Application
   3)      Click Go to Application
   4)      Insert your html code for your opt in form
   5)      Paste your html code in the box
   6)      Choose between Narrow or Wide and click update
   7)      Your opt in box should now be on your profile!

Sometimes the box will go to your Boxes Tab on your profile if this happens drag the tab over to your profile page under your friends.

My Job Sucks

I hate hearing people say "My job sucks" because I know it doesn't have to!

We all run into so many people each day who complain about their job, their work hours, their boss and their overall 9-5 lifestyle. It is sad to see and be around these types of people. They’ve been complaining about this lifestyle now since the day they got their job. They never ask themselves, why am I always going to a job that I hate every Monday to Friday. Why am I putting myself through that if I don’t have to? If only they knew there were other options.

I remember my corporate job. It wasn’t awful but it definitely wasn’t freedom. The bus, the hours, useless meetings, tedious projects, the crabby coworkers and the low pay were definitely not an incentive to keep going into the office. I did it because like many of you, I didn’t know of any other option. I thought it had to be this way and my job wasn’t so bad.

Most of us are raised to go to school, then to college or university and then get a job or career. We’re brainwashed into thinking that is the only viable option after school. Most people follow this type of thinking because most people are sheep and do not think outside the norm for fear of rejection.

Some of us are lucky enough to be able to know and network with the right people. People who are not sheep, they are rhinos. These people take charge and set their own paths in life. These people do not accept the norm and they never will. Entrepreneurs are constantly challenging themselves and those surrounding them.

Can anyone be an entrepreneur? Sure but it all starts with the mindset. Do you know that you can be successful? If you know that, then you will be successful because you won’t stop at anything until you’ve reached the top.

Being something other than a sheep requires constant knowledge and education. If you had the chance to escape the corporate world why wouldn’t you take it? Why would you settle and hate the life that you have created for yourself? Why not start something new, positive and be able to leave a legacy. Stop complaining about your life and start changing it. The days aren’t going to get any shorter and you’re time on this earth is limited. Stop making excuses and get to work.

What Are the Best Products to Market Online?

The best products to market online are the products that sell themselves! They will hardly need an explanation and you will not have to beg someone to buy them.

Like mentioned before, this cannot be emphasized enough.... you need to choose a business with GREAT products. Products that are unique and that people need and WANT. It's too hard to convince people they need something. 

A great product allows prospects to come to you.

Find a business that sells something of value. Find products that you buy or would like to buy and then find an opportunity that pertains to those products.
You need to believe in what you are selling so you can become successful at it. You should not have to feel guilty for making a sale or pitching your business scripts. Your products should help people, be fun and make people happy.

Also be sure that there are some different product levels. For the newbies, they will be more inclined to pay a lower price. For the experienced entrepreneur, they might be prepared to pay for something long term. Choose a business that has a variety of options and maybe even a cheaper price for students or other special discounts.

Education is a big seller. Education is a must in today's society. If you can find a business that markets financial education, this would be an even bigger bonus.

Remember that even if you have great products, you will still need to apply yourself and work your butt off to get the word out about them!
